Out of the three pairs of Women's waders I own (Redington, Patagonia and Orvis) I LOVE my Orvis Silver Sonic waders hands down. They are the best. Comfortable, convertible, small foot size ( I wear a 8.5 shoe) and they fit just right.

    Women, Water and Wine event

This past weekend, the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum partnered with TU Women's Initiative to present a lecture on water conservation and wine tasting. Sponsored by High Hook Vineyard, attendees joined Alicea Charamut of CT TU and Jeff Skelding of FUDR in a conversation on water...

    Showing some NEFF love

Thank you to the NEFF members who were able to help me connect with a Ralph Graves fly I purchased last weekend at the CFFCM Summerfest that was placed in another's bag and (so I thought) gone for good. The man who found it was able to contact me from a post on the message board. Life is good.

There is much to purchase in the name of fly fishing. It seems so many retailers are interested in the women angler. Which fly fishing products either for women or general/unisex do you find to be the best? For instance, I love my Orvis sling pack, but go nowhere on the water without a Buff.

    Women in TU video

Though I have yet to see the magazine, it is me. Pete, your attention and thoughtfulness is appreciated. Rusty Spinner, your advocacy for women and youth in the sport is appreciated. I do believe that through the layers of nonsense, silly stories, emoticons and other shenanigans that often...

    This was short lived...

I do not think this women's forum is a waste of time. If you need to cancel, so be it, however it does serve as a meeting place for women who fly fish and once you sort out the threads, there is potential for this to take off. It is the first of it's kind. Keeping my fingers crossed...

    Experiences

Q: What was your best and/or worst experience on the water? A:My best was being on the water when a sulphur hatch took off. Fish popping all over the place. My worst was a man telling me I didn't belong in a river fishing and to get out and go bake a cake. Your turn...and go...

    Women in TU video

Trout Unlimited continues its effort to promote women membership in the organization. The TU Women's Initiative program has been successful by introducing 2600 women to the world on conservation and angling. In NJ, women membership numbers just under 200 amongst the ten chapters throughout the...

    Fishing, Tying, Conservation or other

Many people become part of the fly fishing community for various reasons. Some were introduced to the sport by family or friends, while others picked it up from a spouse, educational course or as a member of a fishing program. In addition, involvement has stemmed from participation in...

    Experiences

This thread has become quite an experience. I would hope that all anglers who view the threads in this forum (and possibly others) would be proactive to add worthy information rather than off topic banter. A girl can dream...

NJTU kicks off Women's Initiative at the Somerset FF Show

Pete- I did see this when it came out, but was not aware that you posted to the forum on it. I appreciate your support and you are so not to blame. Thanks again and hope to see you on the mighty mighty Ramapo.

NJTU kicks off Women's Initiative at the Somerset FF Show

Though some might doubt statistics, women continue to be the fastest consumer to the fly fishing industry. Whether it is TU, TGFF, or other clubs and organizations, women are becoming part of the angling and conservation community. The Somerset Forum was held again this year, with 97 women...

    Ladies of Neff

This was a funny thread to read. I'm thankful it came my way. And I wonder why more women don't join in.

    Ramapo Oil Spill/Dam Failure

I haven't seen or heard anything too big about it. I fished it most of November and caught some stockies. I am hoping all the rain would have improved conditions and that since it wasn't a massive spill, nature will correct itself in time.

    Croton River...is it worth Fishing?

Depending on where you are in White Plains area, the Mianus river in CT, as well as the Norwalk are great. Here is a great link to help you out: Welcome to the TU Croton Watershed Chapter

    Ramapo Oil Spill/Dam Failure

Any word on the Ramapo. I went down today by the college and couldn't believe the massive amounts of debris that collected. Saw a Mahwah PD officer who knew nothing of the oil spill and really didn't seem to care either. I decided to not take out my soap box and drove home. Tomorrow is another...
