Welcome Dirty... I grew up and fished in the Red Bank/Little Silver area (right next to Middletown) for about 25 years. No stream trout fishing in the immediate area, but tons of great saltwater action for Stripers, Weakfish, and Blues in the Navesink & Shrewsbury Rivers, and Stripers and Albies...

I'm with Rusty Spinner in that the more subdued the line color is, the more content I feel that I'm in touch with nature. However, I personally don't think it makes much difference to the fish. The fish are looking up into a brighter sky background, so any color line just blocks out the light...
