4th Annual NEFF WIZARD SLEEVE BASH

TCR's were fast. I think the TCX was a great improvement. If you're stuck on Sage, check ebay for Sage VXP rods. There is both a 7100 & 896 from a Sage rep with warranty at prices too good to pass up on for a Sage with warranty. Although the VXP & TCR have little in common. A Sage Flight...

    Salmon River Report 2014

Fatty with my switch rod in the pic and hares ear in jaw. Switch rod and long belly floating line is a nymph drifters dream Some nicely colored fish But mostly big bright chromers that weren't happy to be hooked flows still low, so some storms for ny state should really be for the better...

Favorite Fly reel and Fly Rod

I think there are a few different ways to consider a rod your favorite rod. To the content fisherman, the answer is simply the one I have in hand. To a gear junkie, it is the rod I buy next. To another, it is the one most suitable for the job, perhaps the one for the most frequent type of...

    New Member New fly Fisherman

My advice is to start drinking heavily. With a name like Mclancy, this might not be all too tall of an order.

    Salmon River Report 2014

I thought gorged because the lump was well ahead of its pelvic fins much closer to its pectoral fins. If I figured it were eggs, I'd have raked my boot cleats along the sides of the brown to get the eggs out before releasing it.

    Salmon River Report 2014

my simple camp A huge push of fresh chromers came through at around 10am. The AM fishing was slow so I took a walk and a hit from the pipe and returned to my spots filled with huge fish. Kinda cool. This was the only 1 I landed of the 7 I hooked that late morning. They were very graciously...

Looking for anglers to fish the Musky Gorge tomorrow

It's been fishing OK so it should be good, flows permitting. My buddy did better than I did last weekend on a Musky shrimp. Glo bugs have been getting my trailer nymph some attention as of late there.

Sunday morning FRUITCAKE seminar at the Symposium with, Gary Borger 7:30am

The action for me was all salmon my first day of fishing. This chromer was hooked before sunrise on day 2. Put up quite the fight. Flows were low up there as well. Some potential storms in our near future should brighten things up in that area also. Zzzzzzzzz

Black bear kills a man in NJ

This comment made me laugh as it reminded me of the scene where they dump Donny's ashes in the Big Lebowski, when Walter starts to speak of Vietnam during his eulogy speech. The Dude cuts him off and says "what the fuck has anything to do with Vietnam? I don't see any connection to Vietnam...

    Poconos

Really, Bill, some of PA's better hike-in brook trout streams can be found right around Canadensis and within the Delaware SF. I would stay away from that area, however, until this issue resolves. I personally am not going hiking/camping where I like to visit while investigators are searching...
