The National Capital Chapter - TU will be hosting its 34th Annual National Capital Angling Show on Saturday March 14, 2009 from 10 AM to 5:30 PM at Georgetown Prep School located at 10900 Rockville Pike (Rt. 355) in North Bethesda, MD 20852. Mike Lawson, the spring creek guru who authored Spring Creeks and who founded the Henry's Fork Anglers Fly Shop will be one of our headliners. James Prosek, the noted artist and author who wrote Fly Fishing the 41st Parallel who has been dubbed the Audobon of the fishing world, will also be appearing. We will offer seminars on such topics as "Fly Fishing 101," "Smallmouth Bass Fishing: Practices and Places," and "Fishing the Chesapeake Bay From Top to Bottom" and much more. There will be fly casting and fly tying instruction and demonstrations. Special emphasis this year on introducing kids to fly fishing. Many vendors and activities. Adults $10 and kids 16 and under free. All net proceeds go to cold water conservation.
