Anyone here able to put a stripping guide on my rod?

I don't want to send the rod back to SAGE because it takes forever. Does anyone know anyone here or does anyone want to replace the stripping guide on one of my rods. I would greatly appreciate the help! Shoot me a PM.

Thanks!

Where are you located

You have a PM...

I know who Harry has recommended.

I second his outstanding choice.

I have had Bill Dettmar repair my bamboo and graphite rods before, and I am on record saying he is the best, and more than reasonable in his pricing.

Bill is still making and repairing rods from his home @ 908-359-1830.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me with any concerns.

Thanks! I didn't know that Bill was still doing that. He actually did another guide on the same rod. I have had bad luck with guides on the Z Axis series rods. The insert came out of the stripping guide this time. I have had many of the snake guides break at the footings. Has anyone else experienced this? I wish they would put the re-coil guides on their high end rods!

A little late to the post and I'm sure you have it fixed by now, but I would be apprehensive having someone besides sage fix it as it might void the warranty.

I myself build rods as a hobby and can fix most issues unless it's broken graphite, but if a warrantied factory rod i own has any issues, I don't like spending the money or the downtime, but I send it back (granted it has only happened once).
