Drift Boat

Hey J

That's a fixer upper. Can a boat like that even be fixed ?

Fall Iso's and Olives are on the way.Did I say the ant's are marching home.

That boat could easily be fixed by a competent glass guy.

By the time you were done having it shipped and refurbished you are probably looking at another $3K. So stop wasting you money on therapy, because its not working, and spend some of that video royality money DC pays you for showing your videos on his site for a $4k boat.

As you are already aware. I am here to help. So i came up with an idea to help you get your boat at a good price. Start by calling Mac's wife and asking her how she likes seeing that boat in the yard all year long. Ask her if she thinks its dangerous to have around the kids. Then, do the same to TKhour. Im sure an offer would be coming your way quickly.

Are you set on getting a hard boat? You mentioned you would still float with Joe D. so you might be willing to compromise for your personal boat for a good price.

This is cheap for a personal craft. I think the Hyundai should make it to New Paltz.
Pontoon raft

You may want to think out of the box a little. I think they use Zodiac's with fishing frames in Alaska. This one is in NJ. It's big enough for two. At this price you should be able to get a fishing frame (or make one) and still be under budget. Some of these come with aluminum or wood floors so you can stand. You could also throw a 5 horse on it and fly around your favorite stillwater haunts.
Maxxon raft

Don't forget to calculate a finders fee into your budget for all the time I'm wasting on Craigslist... on the other hand the thought of you floating through a placid West Branch pool in front of CDun with your scrapyard boat may be payment enough.

This is very helpful. Sometimes it pays to patiently wade through Dluver's posts, because this one is actually useful.

Although I am getting a real drift boat.

I already have a pontoon.
