Fuji folding hook-keeper

I thought the Fuji folding hook-keeper looked neat and installed them on the last dozen or so rods I built. However, performance-wise I've had trouble with every one...the damned things won't stay closed and keep snagging my lines!

Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

i built a few rods with that hook keeper and went back to the cheaper "classic" one. so much easier to deal with. I push one "leg" under the cork and finish it off with a new wrap. that doesn't work though if you use a fancy winding check. or forego the hook keeper completely and hook the fly into the first stripper after you pulled the leader/tippet over the reel.
