The reasoning behind this experiment is to try and measure the value of sport fishing to anglers. The payoffs go from $15 to $500 per angler and for the cash they have to surrender their saltwater fishing permit. Federal officials claim the results will help them measure the potential loss to anglers in the case of environmental disasters like oil spills and the like.

I 100% Agree -- Again the Lonely Sport FIsherman is being subjugated into thinking he can be bought off by big money politics without the actual problem child being addressed -- THE FUCKING LONGLINERS -- THE FUCKING HAUL SEINERS --- THE FUCKING ROLLER TROLLER NETTERS ( YAE they have nets that sing to the bottom and ROLL THEIR WEIGHTS ACCROSS THE the coral and fish holding spots including wrecks and ruin them) The commercial fishing industry are PAYING POLITICIANS TO TRY AND GET RID OF THE RECREATIONAL/SPOTR FISHERMEN so they can line their pockets with MORE FISH

Something about this is not right. They want to see what the damage would be from "disasters"? WTF is that supposed to mean. Something is definitely fishy here.
