It’s all about fly fishing

The Show: Not your ordinary fly show! Featuring seminars, clinics, classes and vendors all related to fly fishing. It is simply all about fly fishing and all proceeds benefit the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum. You will find everything related to fly fishing; it’s all here in an intimate and elegant setting.

Saturday: Show hours 9AM-5 PM, A special price fixe dinner at 5:30 and a live auction at 7:00 PM

Sunday: Show hours 9AM-4PM, Blind tying contest at high noon

I will be tying there both days and presenting on Saturday afternoon. The blind blind fly tying sounds like fun!

I will be there, although I must warn you all - I was having a blind tying competition once at my house, and a very famous tyer got his thumb caught on the hook shank. In pain, he yanked his thumb back, lifting the vise into the air - the flight path of the vise was directly into his noggin, causing a concussion.

Admittedly, this occurred after he had consumed nearly 20 bottles of beer, but it is nonetheless a true story.

I'll be heading up Sunday with John Bonasera( Alias Catskill John )
John will be tying on Sunday, Hope to see some of you up there.:punk:
Rob Smith the creater of Pentalux Rods will be there.

Rob makes a cross between a quad and a hex bamboo rod.
I always enjoy casting his new offerings:smiley-sniffer:

:bump:
Come on up if you you can, lots to see, Vintage tackle, fly tying and rods galore. This event also benefits the Catskills fly fishing center and museum.

Why don't they have it closer to the NYC, For me that's a 90 mile drive. Why
Connecticut ? I'd like to see their show layout, but will settle for the Somerset shows.
