A fan of Boobery
As far as Bamboo is concerned these two rods aren't special.....unless you are me!
that "new" NEFF member recently posted a hand me down....these two represent two generations of my family.....the rod in the top of the picture was my great grandfathers.....a member of the Yellow Breeches fishing club...it is a Kingfisher, and he probably got it off a rack at some department store in Carlise....
the bottom rod was my Grandfathers, which I mistakenly thought was a Heddon...it is not ...it is a Montague Rapidan.....and fished the Yellow Breeches and other area streams as well.....
These were meat fishermen, size 20 treble hooks with red wigglers on the end....probably never let a caught fish go, but that was another era........
both are three piece, what feels like 6 weights.....some wraps are missing on Great Grandads rod and that one is probably not fishable now...but My grandpa's rod is in working order, and was last fished in 1988 in The Breeches.....it performed well and caught several trout that were dispatched quickly and placed in a nice old wicker creel.....I could take a picture of those as well..I have two one from Great Grandad and Grandad.....
