The USFWS, one of many partners in the Lower Musconetcong River Restoration Partnership - a partnership that is receiving the national Coastal America award later this year - has produced a video of our collective efforts to remove the Finesville dam back in November 2011 on the lower Musky. We will be back in the channel later this summer to restore a 1/3 mile of the river above that now removed dam to improve fish habitat using Urbani Fisheries out of Bozeman, MT to perform that work. This project was largely funded by Farm Bill monies, and now an entire 1/2 mile of river is open to public access while the first main blockage in the river above the Delaware is now fully open to fish passage for trout, American shad, river herring, and striped bass.
