Life's short fish bamboo!!
Just got back from the Catskills Rod Makers Gathering.
They had a great line up of demonstrations which included rod wrapping with Bob Taylor, man does he make it look easy.
Nickle silver ferrule drawing and Rod Flaming techniqes.
Had a great time with my buddies up there and my rod made it to the finals.
Didn't take top honors but the competition was close.
Casting conditions were not optimal. We had some nasty swirling wind gusts which made it tough for the casters but the casting was acomplished.
