Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

KLG today 6/6

I heard back from the fisheries pathologist, Jan Lovy. He would like to see fish like that killed and brought to his lab at the Pequest Hatchery if at all possible. I replied that some anglers might be concerned if they catch it in one of our two no-kills due to a technical breaking of the law. I'm awaiting his reply. Personally, I would kill it and call Jan and the local CO to cover my bases and get the fish to him. No CO would write a ticket knowing that we do have furunculosis around currently. But it would be nice to hear something from the Division so others that might catch that fish or one similar feel the same way as I do.

Friend said state biologist called this morning to thank him and tell him they're heading to the gorge today to take samples.

If your heading out there today that fish was just above the tressle bridge. Maybe he's still there if you wanna try n land him.

I texted the biologist in case that info didn't make it to the electro fishing crew.

Electro fishing happening today to find it or others that might be like it in the Gorge.....so they are staying on top of this issue in a big way. Kudos to the biologists and pathologist for their genuine concerns for our wild trout and for all trout.
