I was using a 7 ft jigging rod, 8 oz white bucktail with a pink gulp 6" grub.
Shit works like a charm.
Fuck fly fishing.
Small fish, crowded streams, annoying people ETC.

I don't know about 70' of water but they do eat clousers though...I caught a couple off the beach in IBSP last year, at least there was something to make up for the striper skunking.
That bucktail / grub combo is the go-to for spin guys back in Va...I was confused by what "bucktail" meant thinking it might resemble some sort of fly, I mean there is some deer butt hair on it, but the rest is a big wad of lead...

So what exactly is North Eastern Fly Fishing? North Eastern Fly Fishing is a place with a lot of knowledgeable people who are always willing to share useful information to people new to the sport as well as people who have perfected the sport. Sometimes this comes with a cost and that cost might be that you'll have to have your balls busted every so often. If you can't handle that, than this site might not be for you. So if you're one of those conservative types who supports having someone (the government) moderate your life instead of taking control of your own life, you should probably leave now because your type will have very hurt feelings almost immediately.
Read the site with an open mind and make the best use you can out of it.
If you don't like something you see on the site, there's a chance you'll see much more stuff you don't like as time goes on. Don't bitch and moan to the moderators. We don't care to hear about how you were offended because someone hurt your feelings. If someone bothers you, you have a few choices. 1. Ignore them. 2. Send them a private message or 3. Create more drama and entertainment and reply to them in the forum. Don't bother us with your personal issues regarding the site.

Ignorance is a state of being uninformed (lack of knowledge). The word ignorant is an adjective describing a person in the state of being unaware and is often used as an insult to describe individuals who deliberately ignore or disregard important information or facts.
HERE, I am NOT uninformed. I am clearly stating 'HOLD THE FISH CLOSER.' The 'important facts and information' is the whites of it's eyes and the fact GLECH is holding the fish as close to camera as possible to enlarge it, much like he does with his one eye chinaman... IM FULLY AWARE OF EVERYTHING, DISREGARDING NOTHING.
