Well to those who were there or those who are going, there really isn't too much to say but I'd guess there isn't much better a time to be had other than fishing. I did finally get to put faces to some of the names.

Joe T.....I met him at the DRF booth, which I stupidly forgot to return to and join and buy a ticket for the rod raffle...OOPs..I guess I was a bit overwhelmed.

Andy B.....At the Catskill Fly Tying Guild table. All I can say is his wets are even more impressive in person.

Misa(willowheads wife)....What a nice lady, She said she looked forward to the day she could fish with my son and I, too sweet.

And lastly to Dennis, I guess we missed each other, I had to leave a little sooner than expected as my son was getting antsy after a few hours. In truth you made it easier on me by not showing up early as I had a hard enough time choosing between the Powell and the Elkhorn. Both were nice, I ended up with the Elkhorn. So while I'd have enjoyed meeting you I thank you...LOL....ED

Sorry i missed you Ed, i was still on the way when you left. Got there a bit late on Sat. Had to make a run to Roscoe for the animals on Fri. night after the show. Glad you ran into Misa. I was at the show Thru. (to set up) thru Sun. so i had to make at least one trip back up for the animals. I stayed in Manhattan on Thur. and Sat. nights. And i came back to Roscoe on Sun. after the show again. Finally got everything unpacked today. Boy i'm glad i don't have another show til March. I LOVE the shows but they run you ragged. Glad you had a good time and got your Elkhorn. Funny, i meant to get that Elkhorn 1wt. this year.......third year i'm saying that, lol. Oh well..........i spent way to much anyway. mark

Well if it's any consolation you could pick it up at the big Sportsmans expo in Rockland.......

Actually Ed, i did flex the rod, and it is way to soft. Dry fly fishing on a little creek you don't need a fast rod, but that thing was soooooooo floppy. Maybe with the line on it.... but i doubt a one wt. line would of made much diff. mark
