Project healing waters donations - HELP A DISABLED VETERAN TODAY.

Incredible! The deadline was last week but since there's been so much more interest, I'll extend it until next Wednesday since a few people are away until then.

If sending a check, either me or cash will be fine but if you're more comfortable with writing it out to Project Healing Waters, that would be cool too.
 
It was not clear before what you wanted to do. I (and I imagine others) thought it was a fly tying contest and I was not going to send in my dustbunnies superguled to hooks. So I just disregarded the entire thread after the first post.
 
D.C. Take a picture of all the stuff before you send it..I am curious as to how much stuff you get...I also am very happy to see that everyone is NOT a bunch of tight asses....:thumb:

This thread makes me curious how many vets we have here on NEFF. Who is a veteran or still on active duty and what branch of the military did you serve in?

I did 9 years in the Air Force.

I know Ctobias was in the Marines.

I think Macfly is a vet.

I'm just glad that you folks that donated stopped making this thread sound as annoying as an NPR fund drive.

I was thinking that the NEXT step was offering photos and biographies of Vets that a donation of $19.95 a month would help....

Mac did a stint with the Girl Scouts and is still suffering from post traumatic stress from when he was in country on the front lines of the cookie drive wars

We had a topic about that a few years back, it would have been nice to update, but I can't find it.
Maybe .... DC is secretly a hippie, & deleted it .

Commissioned (ROTC) as an Army Engineer Officer in 1965.
Active duty from 1965 to 1967 (France and West Germany).
Reserves 1967 to 1971 (Caven Point, Jersey City).

Wounded ? - A French girl slapped me once, but it didn't get me a purple heart.
It probably won't get me any flies either..... :crap:

Thanks guys! I'm waiting on at least 4-5 others. I used the cash received from some of you and placed an order with RIO fly fishing products today for Tippet material and leaders.

If I receive more cash, I'll put an order into another one of our site supports for more stuff.

DLUVER is just upset because we waterboarded him after we found him with a box of thin mints stuck up his a$$:). I'm pretty sure he liked both experiences.
 
I needed a vacation from the Marines so I joined the Army. Did you know the Army pays you to jump out of perfectly good airplanes?!

I hope you got mine too. I mailed it the same money as ThurstHouse granted I did drop it in a mailbox in NYC near work.
