I got out on Tuesday.
When I arrived I was greeted by a bevy of bugs.
In fact, there were almost as many insects on the water as there were cars in the parking lot.
Not the same as far as trout rising for the bugs.
Then it misted.
Then showered.
Then there were NO bugs.
Then there were NO rises.
The showers and mists did not subside.
Then I left.

Almost 150 people looked at this and NOBODY wants too make a snide comment about me posting about TWO fishing excursions in a week?

Nobody wants to comment about the swarm of insects I encountered and how hard it would have been for you to catch a fish because of the shear numbers of naturals competing with your fly no matter how great your presentation was?

Nobody wants to be the first to correctly identify the insects I photographed?


...well then... I own a couple of Ford trucks, a GMC van and Chevy box truck... I used to own a Dodge truck...

Here, WOW. look at all those bugs, it must have been amazing......Those, I believe, are Mayflies? What kind of rod is that? I like the color......
and, you must not fish enough to catch a fish two times in a week, are you kidding me?

Appreciation for the art of storytelling has taken a hit.

My "boring" story was designed to reflect the experience of my outing.
Even the photos support it... Visually monotonous... Void of color...

I'll try harder next time.

But definitely no singing...

I liked this fishing report. If I posted reports about all of my trips, at least half of them would look like this. Minus all the bugs. Especially when I'm fishing in undisclosed locations where you can stand in NY and PA at the same time. Thanks for keeping it real FF.

You should post this on the Green Drake site and see what happens. Be sure to include a photo of your gatorade bottle and sunflower seeds.

oh yeah, I drive a dented lavender minivan with a Coexist and a "Ready for Hillary" bumper stickers. My favorite scotch comes in a plastic dispenser and is only really useful for arts and crafts projects.
