Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Warmth question to all you hardcore guys

The primo jacket shell is 100% water repellent. It's not going to get wet. Any Patagonia jacket coated with DWR is gonna bead water off. I have a guide shell for 10 years that is still the best rain jacket I have owned. The down fill will keep you warmer then primaloft so if you are skiing on a really cold ass day you will appreciate the down filling over primaloft. Dont listen to to these cyber boobs. Theyy get all moist in tier panties about Simms gear:)

My concern is... Is PrimaLoft warm? What type of conditions have you used it in and did it keep you warm?

Research "Primaloft ONE". It's the best insulation out there for the weight, which is extremely light. I will be using it all winter. I'll be wearing it again this weekend, will report back.

Maybe, but you only look like a tool to other fisherman, uninitiated chicks like that rugged outdoor look;)

Uninitiated chicks? I've seen some of you guys, its gonna take alot more than a nice jacket to "initiate" them. More like lots of alcohol, lies, roofies, duct and zip ties.

I have a Filson Double Tin jacket, it is about twenty years old, I wear it often, it is well waxed, extremely water resistant, it is the real deal for working outside or hunting in nasty weather, It still isn't broken in. I can't imagine attempting to cast a fly in that thing. I think they are running about 300 bucks now.

Wore the jacket last weekend. Saturday was mid-30's and warmed up to about 42. I had to down my thin base layer. Of importance, it rained that day, I stayed dry

Sunday was cold, never rose above 36 degrees. Combined with my Simms Exstream waders, I was warm as can be. Very pleased with the non-bulky warmth of the Bulkely.
