Absolutely Joe, I'm in. I think that it is a great idea. It will be great to meet these guys that I've been lucky enough to get advice and insight from this past year. I have a sneaking suspicion though, that you are looking to cash in on my free breakfast offer! Done. You're not a steak and eggs man, are you? Remember, I am a teacher.

If you would like to meet up on the WB, and although the Barking Trout Cottage renovation is a work in progress, you are more than welcome to use it for a meeting place. The inside will be complete along with the deck and most of the landscaping (weather permitting). The living room is 20 x 25 with 22 feet of glass overlooking the river and can handle a small crowd. It will sleep 7 -10 people, have a boat launch if HLR, BJ or anyone else wants to bring their boat.
The log siding won't be up until probably sulphur season, but we don't need that to have a good time.

Thanks for the offer to help John but I think I will be ok, as long as Winter doesn't run into Spring. I may call you off the bench the week before the shindig for last minute touch ups if you are around so be ready!
If you would like this to be a weekend thing I can probably get the house next door also which will sleep an additional 4-6 people.
Behind the house and upstream is approx. a mile of what I would call semi-private water. (Limited Access) so everyone should have some elbow room to work. There are deep pools, runs littered with 2-3 ft boulders and flats downstream of the house where the big boys come out to play after dark (MP). So there should be water to everyones liking.
Any weekend except the first weekend in May is good for me (My brother and I are at Al Caucci School that weekend as a reward for bustin a_ _ over the last 9 months. So Joe,John, Dennis ect. pick a date.

This really sounds like a great idea. I have been fortunate to meet some of you and even more fortunate to have learned a ton from many of you. Unfortunately, I have only fished with a few. I think it would be great to meet up for a few days in May. Sounds great-count me in.

Would you like to post the weekend dates in May as a poll? This way anyone who wanted to attend could pick the best dates for them by "voting". The weekends are 8-9, 15-16, 22-23 and 29-30. Now the last one would be Memorial Day weekend; I know that many people have traditions set for that weekend.... Just a thought. It's five months away, so I guess we have some time

Depending upon where your place is, I'm only about 45 minutes, give or take, away (which up here is "a stones throw" or "just aways athataway"). When the time comes I'll give you my #. Don't hesitate to use it.

Guys I would really like to focus on the last two weekends in may since that is Sulpher and March brown time.To early in May and you can end up between the First Magor hatches and the ones above.
I have always over the years set up weeken trips around the end of May since its always been the most consistant.

WB Catechumen --> Too late, I have already fished that particular spot. But of course, you would not know that AS I did not leave any trace of my visit. Can I ask a favor, however, could you leave a cold 6 pack of Heineken Brewskies out for me next Spring? This small gesture would be appreciated.

As you are well aware, because you work in Manhattan -- the N.Y.C. girls, especially Vogue girlies, are very particular about scheduling something so soon -- they need at least a year advance notice.
However, if I do show up -- I will arrive in my Black Hummer, at least two Vogue girlies carrying my rod - so to speak -- a big Cuban hanging out my mouth AND a huge smile on my face. Jealous? You should be family man....

WB Catechumen -- Just to let you know, the guys will probably be dissapointed in the catching as the few nights before I plan to feed those wonderful fish with trout chow pellets pilfered from Al Caucci's wonderful D.R.C.

That Sunday is good for me. (Gives me a few extra weeks to get ready in case we get snow through April)
We'll make Sunday the main day but if anyone wants to fish Sat and stay over Sat or Sun nite they are MORE than welcome. I have two bedrooms up stairs with 6 brand new beds. First come first served. Also, the house next door is also being used as a weekly rental property and I can get that also for the weekend for free if we need more sleeping space.
Motels in the area book up fast so if you would rather do that, they are the Laurel Bank Motel, Deposit Motel, Timberline and Green Acres, all within three miles of the house.

This all sounds very cool. I could bring my Coleman Jonboat along for a float too. I know my 9-year old black lab Jack would love to make it, if that's cool with you. He loves watching fly guys do their thing out there in the water. It will be strange meeting the guys on this board after all this time. Mike

The hole behind the house used to be called the Barking Dog Hole, so Jack would fit in just fine. I have 200 feet of river front with river flat that is 30 feet wide till it goes up the bank so he will have plenty of room to run.

All that know NJFred, is this something he might be into? I have not seen him post in a while and wondered if there was a way to get his thoughts on this. He's always more than happy to give out good free advice; I'd hate to miss the opportunity to meet him.
All, "The Gathering" up in Roscoe is the last weekend of the month. Would more people be able to come to the NEFF get together if they were held the same weekend? Or would it be better to have them separate so there would be no conflicts? I'd hate to have to make someone choose which weekend they could come up (if they wanted to do both)OR which "event" they would miss if they were on the same day. Just thinking.
