Hi Arnold,
Let's see if I can answer your questions.
You can say that a couple of guys are 'organizing' the event. Actually we just picked a date and might arrange a few activities, totally voluntary of course, during the week. There is no sponsor. The only 'costs' are those you personally incur for food, lodging(camping), anything you buy, etc. It is being held in the Roscoe area from May 31st through and including June 6th. It is, as you describe, "show up and see what develops".
For example, we will probably use the Roscoe Diner as a morning meeting spot for breakfast and to figure out what to do that day. Some may want to go to Beaverkill, some to Willowemoc, some to Neversink, or spots inbetween. For supper some of us may arrange to meet at a restaurant or at a campsite (for those of us who camp or anyone). We'll probably arrange for a place where we can meet, bs and to tie flies at night.
There'll be more information forthcoming in the months ahead. You can look at the menu at: www.flyanglersonline.com Click on 'Fish-Ins' and then look up Roscoe, 2003. That'll have information and photos from last year. Information will be just about the same this year.
Looks like it might be busy so reservations may be a good idea.
Hope this all helps and maybe you'll be able to make it.
